A Matchy Navy Polka Dot Dress & Red Target Shoes Outfit

Happy Wednesday everyone! I wore this matchy blue and red outfit last Thursday, but I don't even remember what I did that day. It's kind of troublesome how the days run together during the summer. I think I ran errands or something.

Anyway, I've gotten a lot of use out of this dress. It's so easy to throw on without much thought and nice and light for summer. I decided on a very matchy matchy outfit because sometimes everything needs to coordinate. It makes me happy that matchy and mismatched outfits are on trend right now because I love both styles so much!

Check out these shoes I just bought from the Target kids' section!
Here's a tip for you if you wear up to a size 8. Look at the girls' shoes because the sizes are larger than their number equivalent in the womens' section. I wear a 7 - 7 1/2 and these red shoes are a size 6 and fit a little loose. Apparently girls' sizes are wider so that's probably why they fit loose on my narrow feet. But if you're browsing Target and wear an 8 or below don't forget to check out the kids' shoes because they're usually cheaper and they have a ton of cute styles. Jeanie even got a pair of wedges with a really decent sized heel for $17. (Why children are wearing 2-3 inch heels, I don't know. But the shoes work for Jeanie!)

I hope you're having a great middle of the week!

Tuesday Tunes: Of Montreal - Suffer For Fashion

I had a hard time picking one Of Montreal song to feature today, but I decided on Suffer For Fashion! It's upbeat and perfect for summer and party times. Plus I found an official music video for it on YouTube. This is one of the first songs I heard from Of Montreal and it actually wasn't my favorite the first listen around. It was something about the dissonant chords at some parts... but now I enjoy the cool futuristic sound in this song. After the second listen things changed and now I love this song!

I believe I've seen Of Montreal three times now? I think that's correct. They're such a fun live band. They really know how to put on a show. It's spectacular! Plus they're from Athens which is pretty awesome.

Happy Tuesday!

Sleeveless Polka Dot Dress Outfit

Here's an outfit I wore last Wednesday. Sorry about the two simple dress outfits in a row, but I've been in a dress mood lately. Throwing on a dress and shoes is just so easy. I'll be mixing it up again eventually though! At least this one is a completely black look while my last outfit post was very colorful! I have a hard time not wearing color though. I'll admit I threw on a teal cardigan before we went to dinner to keep my arms warm in the air conditioning.

And the best pose of all to show off my spiked bracelet:

I'm really hoping to relax today after a busy weekend! Maybe I'll finish 1984 and start a new book. I live a life of excitement, guys. I'm sure you know that by now!

Happy Monday!

Braid-y Bunch Outfit

Something about the colors in this outfit shows off my ultimate pallor, but that's okay! I wore this to a graduation party last weekend. Dresses are the simplest way to look like you tried without having to put forth much effort. I've just been in a dress mood lately too, I guess! This one was a bargain during one of Modcloth's sales. I think I paid something around $16 for it. This is the first time I got to show off the cutout back detail!

Jeanie told me I looked like I was channeling The Brady Bunch. She also told me that's what I should title this blog post because I had braids in my hair. And it was so.

Mom did my hair here and I love it. I requested something with braids and that's exactly what I got. I'm pretty sure I'll be wearing my hair up more and more often as the summer goes on since my hair has gotten so long. It's already getting stupid hot outside too.

Happy Friday everyone!
